Assurator Implementation Methodology (AIM)

AIM is a sprint based methodology. The sprints serve the purpose of increasing control of scope, quality and time. They also serve as a mean to reduce risks and bottlenecks. This is done by organizing the full scope into subsets of more manageable scopes and timeframes.

The General Analysis is used to get an understanding of the business requirements in order to plan the sprints successfully. The following is examples of activities in the General Analysis phase:

  • Containing Business Vision
  • Project Mobilization incl. TIA Training on TIA Core processes
  • Application Architecture (incl. definition of common standards for configuration)
  • Process Mapping ('As Is' and 'To Be')
  • Use Cases
  • High Level Requirements of Scope
  • Detailed Plan
  • Estimates

Generally each sprint will cover implementation activities for a defined subset of the scope. Configuration and testing are planned to be iterative and incremental for each sprint - the sprint deliverables will be demonstrated in each iteration to ensure transparency, reduce rework and to ensure that the project is on track and aligned to expectations and requirements. Upon completion of each sprint, regression testing is planned.

Assurator also provides methods and tools for converting data from legacy systems. The use of these will be planned according to the needs of the specific customer.
